A judge sentenced Jessica Renee Lattimore to a prison term of 5 years for running over her ex-boyfriend’s girlfriend with her car in 2018.
According to court documents, on the evening of April 15, 2018, a Harker Heights police officer was stopped by a woman in the parking lot of the police department as he was leaving. The woman told him she saw a woman run over by a car nearby. The officer went back into the building. Inside he met a man that told him the woman that ran over his girlfriend was also in the building. The officer located Lattimore and asked her if she was driving the car that hit the woman. Lattimore acknowledged she was the driver of the vehicle. The woman that stopped that officer said that Lattimore struck the woman and broke her leg, then backed up and left the scene before circling back around to try to run them over a second time. Lattimore told the officer she just wanted to hurt her ex-boyfriend. A grand jury indicted Jessica Renee Lattimore on May 30, 2018, on a second-degree felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Bell County court records show several trial dates set in her case. Her case never made it to trial. She pleaded guilty on March 16 in the 27th Judicial District Court. At a sentencing hearing in June, a judge sentenced Lattimore to 5 years in prison.
