Traffic Stop Produces Drugs, Guns, Cash

FAIRFIELD, Texas – An investigation following a traffic stop, led to the discovery of over 24oz of marijuana, two handguns, a scale, a black ski mask, and $2,557 in cash.

A traffic stop was conducted in the Fairfield area early Sunday morning after a Freestone County Sheriff’s Deputy witnessed a traffic violation. When the deputy approached the vehicle, he smelled marijuana.

Two arrests were made. The driver and passenger were charged with Manufacturing/Delivery, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, and Resisting Arrest.
